You do not need to be present at the June 27 opening to have a chance to purchase artwork. From June 2 through June 27 at noon, you may buy absentee ballots for $25 (limit one set per person). The set includes one ballot for each artwork to be sold by draw and a secret-bid ballot for each of the three artworks to be sold by highest bid.

At your direction, a proxy will place any ballots you choose. Your choices will be documented via an online form visible only to authorized Couse-Sharp Historic Site staff.

After you purchase a set of ballots, staff will contact you to direct you to the online ballot choice form and to document your credit card information in case your name is drawn. You will not be charged for artwork unless you win a draw.

Your proxy will place your ballot for any artwork(s) you direct in the ballot draw box for the artwork(s). The drawing will take place beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Couse-Sharp Historic site in Taos. If your name is drawn, you are obligated to purchase the artwork. Note that if your name is drawn for multiple artworks, you are obligated to purchase them, so keep that in mind when choosing how many works to place ballots for.
